Consultation
Consultation — judgment you can act on
Consulting for AI transformation strategy, feasibility review, vendor evaluation, implementation planning, and ongoing decision support. Ultermind helps companies understand what is worth doing, design a practical path, and resolve the real operational risks before and during adoption.
Sold by scope and outcome, not by the hour. What is sold is judgment, not time.

Working model for one-time projects
- 1Start with the business decision, not the tool
- 2Clarify outcome, data, constraints, risks, fallbacks
- 3Review vendors against your actual context
- 4Recommend: proceed, pause, adjust, or pivot
- 5Define human-AI workflow, ownership, checkpoints
Retainer consulting
A stable thinking partner for the journey
For leaders who want ongoing access to AI / IT judgment. Retainer support is for companies that need a stable thinking partner, not a one-time report.
Retainer benefits
- Ask ad hoc AI / IT decision questions as they arise.
- Get a monthly review or short report summarising key issues, decisions, and recommended next steps.
- Maintain a more stable AI transformation journey instead of reacting case by case.
- Review vendor claims, internal proposals, and project direction before major commitments.
- Keep management aligned on risks, cost, ownership, and next actions.
Retainer working model
| Support area | How it works |
|---|---|
| Ad hoc questions | One clearly defined question per interaction by email or message; response gives acknowledgement and initial direction. |
| Monthly review | Summarise current issues, decisions made, risks, and recommended next steps. |
| Vendor / solution check | Review claims, fit, risks, and next questions before the company commits. |
| Journey tracking | Track whether the company is still moving toward the agreed business outcome. |
| Management alignment | Help leaders clarify ownership, assumptions, and escalation points. |
Retainer interaction rules
- Each interaction is one clearly defined question.
- Questions are flexible, but substantial work is scheduled or quoted separately.
- Meetings require advance booking.
- Response commitment = acknowledgement + initial direction, not a complete analysis.
- Recommended limit: no more than 5 active retainer clients at once; beyond that, convert to a scoped project.
Not included in retainer
Quoted as separate projects:
- Full AI transformation implementation journey
- Large document review or full vendor evaluation
- Vendor negotiation support
- Delivery work beyond agreed monthly output
Interaction rules
| Email / message consulting | Acknowledgement + initial direction. Weekends and public holidays excluded. |
|---|---|
| Scheduled meetings | Book in advance. |
| Urgent meetings | Available only by arrangement; may carry a surcharge. |
| Work beyond light consulting | Larger review or delivery work is scheduled or quoted separately. |
